Middle East Aquaculture Forum – Toward sustainable Aquaculture in the Middle East


Project initiation

The Middle East Aquaculture Forum (MEAF) has been created to bring together aquaculture experts from the Middle East, to showcase the latest products and offer industry professionals a state-of-the-art platform to interact. The MEAF focused on vital industry issues affecting the key Middle East aquaculture producing countries. Activities included specific topical industry sessions, technical sessions, facilitated workshops and panel discussions. Industry professionals were able to interact and network in designated meeting space.

prime joint-ventured with Marevent an acted as the Dubai PCO for the entire operational and financial organisation of the Forum held in Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, between 5-6 April 2015.

The Forum brought together a global audience of 350 participants.

Project execution

Though the scientific programme was developed by Marevent in collaboration with the World Aquaculture Society and European Aquaculture Society, prime was responsible for the entire concept development for the first edition of the Forum. The prime team worked on:

  • developing a comprehensive project plan, outlining the critical path and milestones for this project
  • designing the Forum logo, website, and all marketing collaterals
  • planning the event flow, exhibition, poster and meeting room allocation
  • creating the abstract and registration management online modules
  • allocating catering to the various functions
  • outlining a detailed meet and greet/transfer plan
  • securing the Forum venue
  • establishing an overall budget plan and progress report deadlines

 

Project performance and close

The first edition of the MEAF was a franc success. Thanks to the support of the exhibitors and Dubai Tourism as our destination partner, the international marketing efforts paid off in attracting delegates from 27 different countries.

The scientific support from the World Aquaculture Society and European Aquaculture Society positioned MEAF as a strong academic and scientific platform in the Middle East allowing buyers and suppliers to meet and conduct business through a highly educational conference and exhibition.

Onsite prime team followed up on all logistics and ground-handling matters, delivering a world-class PCO service.
